I was working in the potatoes and was thinking (because after all, what a good thing to do while weeding) about how much work it is to produce a good deal of your own food. Its so rewarding, but it definitely is time consuming and labor intensive. So a thought came to me that I would pose this question to you. Lets call it The Omnivores Dilemma with no particular reference to the book other than it has to do with food choices. You are having an acquaintance or two to dinner and you know that they dont have, nor do they care to have, good eating habits. Farm fresh and organic are not of importance to them. Do you: 1. Feed them your homegrown meats and vegetables to show them how good it is, hoping they will change their eating habits. 2. Not waste your homegrown food on them, figuring they wont appreciate the time and effort that went into it. Hmmm....be honest now!
