I wasnt going to offer my opinion in this whole Ray Rice thing, but heres what I see. I see something that has been an issue for decades getting the lime light...I see a man AND a woman who seem content on abusing each other in more ways than that camera in an elevator could ever catch. I see a woman, CHARGE her man, A LARGE MAN, who obviously doesnt mind putting his hands on a woman judging by his reaction as she lay unconscious on the floor. I see HER charge HIM! Im saying as a woman, its never okay to put your hands on a man, and not expect something in return..as a MAN its not okay to put your hands on a woman..Why must we use our hands, to deal with matters of the heart, anyway?? I see media outrage, I see social outrage...for what??? Open up the paper, how many domestics do you see in there a day?? What makes these people so special?? Should Ray Rice be the fall guy for what we are unwilling to deal with, even acknowledge on a daily basis??? And who are the real people responsible here?? Is it the NFLs fault, that this sorta thing isnt dealt with?? Tell me, those people in the paper we ignore everyday for domestic assaults/abuse..are THEIR employers responsible?? This has gotten out of control, and Im simply SHOCKED at how society is reacting....SOCIETY PLUUZZZE, no since in getting all holier than thou now. Where does this problem ultimately start?? AT HOME PEOPLE!!! No amount of TV ridicule or regulation of employers is going to successfully govern an issue that can only be combated when we raise our children DIFFERENTLY... It is OUR fault, as parents as a society to allow the continuing erosion of family and unwillingness to raise our children right...PERIOD.
