Lol DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. — Police arrested a father on child cruelty charges after the man punished his 16-year-old son by making him carry a 23-pound landscape stone for several miles. Charlie Mayes, a 40-year-old military veteran with no criminal record, told police he used military-style punishment because his son watched too many videos and didnt do his chores and school work. Douglasville Police charged Mayes on Tuesday with first-degree child cruelty. If it were me here is what I would do... When I got home Id make him carry two more of the rocks to the police station and another two to the social services offices. With a note that says. To whom it may concern A police officer carries handcuffs, a baton, an attack dog, pepper spray and mace, a stun gun, a pistol and a shot gun and at times an automatic weapon. In doing this. The state is telling me that discipline sometimes requires force, violence, imprisonment , the application of actions that cause dangerous and grievous harm and even death. Why? Because the state knows that in a society the safety and well being of the citizens are Paramount to the happiness and security of that society. They understand that they must have these options available to them in order for that state to assure thats it citizens can live in harmony and without fear of lawlessness. However because of foolish political correctness and the forced abandonment of the oldest attitude adjustment tools known to fathers, mothers and parents throughout known history the force parents to make an impossible choice. The State is telling us that we are not to use much more humane and less harmful tactics then the state itself employes in its enforcement of the laws, the discipline and punishment of law breakers. Thus the you leave parents no effective way to prevent our kids from becoming good citizens. Citizens who will obey the law and follow the rules of law. Citizens who will never have to face the barrel of a police mans gun and the omanis and daunting force that the policeman wields. In making disciplining my child impossible you leave me few options. So do me a favor. Either keep my son as you will someday have to if I abandon disciplining him, or make his behind carry those rocks back and perhaps you and I will save his life Thank you.... This whole idea is a product of the insane left wing which has decided to never ever stand up for the common good. Who has trashed any idea of a collective morality in exchange for a collective insanity. The left wing democrat who hates the word discriminate so much that they now employ the idea that one should not even discriminate in discerning right from wrong. Good from bad and so on. Our prison population has more than 3 million people under the care of the sates. More than all the nations of the world combined. Guess what. The politically correct way of doing things has had and will have one result. A lawless and morally corrupt society that will destroy itself from within. Do you need evidence.
