I wasnt really used to expensive gift by a colleague / friend , I even asked the person if its alright to send it back . Im noted in selling luxury jewelry and some leather items like vintage trunks as my other source of income. I started it because I have few friends that like my collective items from vintage shops . Started from trunks and luggages dated 1800 to 40s as a decor to their homes. But this time unexpected event happen . This Arab by birth American Brit by heart was amazed that I helped him with special project for free. I never even bother to asked a fee not even in my tiny split of atoms , because my purpose is to share the knowledge I learned from my courses and volunteering experiences . A simple question he asked me why i dont buy myself and threat myself and why im placing small margin on those valuable decorative items . My response was I merely doing that for fun and to earn a little extra , theres a sense of joy seeing many friends happy of what you deliver . That simple question lead me to an expensive surprise . He even send us for exclusive yatch cruising South America. In which I refused to due to my schedule . The message he sent was very emotional ,thanking me how my idea work in some of his project in Africa and Thailand . Nature gives a reward to those who are willing to help without anything in return . Same passion I showed to my mentor who passed away these year . I showed him that Asian can be trusted . My small way of opening the tough door of opportunities for many Filipino . The thin line they were hiding is beginning to break . if we show how compassionate we are and how honest we are and that were different from the rest they see in the news . nothing is impossible . I am thankful to myself that despite of challenges I was able to remain the same .
