I watched the film free at point of delivery in uk and enjoyed it as it was gripping and even though an old film,it has meaning and message in todays world.Indeed,clint eastwood,a christian preacher,ex gun fighter,helps the meek,weak marginalised community searching for gold to make a living but are bullied,threatned by a richer more power full bussinessman who wants to drive them out by bullying or buying them out cheaply and then threatening to get them shot by getting hired guns to drive them away.but clinteastwood decides to help the weaker,humble folks against most rich and powerfull lad and advices them to stick togather united after they refuse a deal whihc clint negotiates for them to quit.Clint then puts his dog collar away and then goes back to his gun and fights it out against a more powerfull force and gives them back as good as he gets and proves that one man can make a difference,yankee way or american way.100 years ago,american president of scottish descent who was assasinated, told ghandi that hindus that he believed in non violence,peace,ahimsa but if that fails,he always had the big stick .i.e arms and ammo to fight back any aggressors.hence,some folks would think that if hindusthan only had friends,soul mates in religion like genghis khan,timurlaine,babur ,humayun i.e islamic emperors who could call upon all the muslim or islamic world of the time to call of a jihad,holy war on hindusthan for its riches,women and conquests and taxes for a life of luxury of opiumharems,treasures galore then perhaps hindusthan might not have fallen and become a concubine of islamic hordes or judo christians or tom,dick and harry.also,how come not only islamic but jesuit priest,english merchents were in india in time of akbar,500 to 600 years ago.was there a hindustani priest or priestess and merchentin rome,london or istanbull .if not why not.phew.also,are the old times like this depicts of might is right and law of jungle already back in uk even today.some have argued or pondered?eg h2 high speed railway being pushed through even if folks and tax payers dont like to or approve the scheme running into billions.gay marriage pushed through without manifesto commitment.,badger cull carries on despite lack of scientific evidence,refrendum on europe denied to plebes,masses lest they vote yes to quitting europe,halal,kosher,female and male circumcision carries on without a refrendum ,child abuse,people smuggling is big bussiness so what kind of country has uk descended.i.e is it going to be like wild west where might and mega bucks speaks and talks and law of jungle prevails.sad times for a fallen nation from grace.one goes to church and hears people praying,god have mercey,save our soul
