I went and saw my mawmaw tonite before I went home. (Shes actually my ex husbands grandma but we still claim each other)....anyways she has been really sick lately so I went in and checked in on her for a little bit....well she looks at me says Kelly Im so thirsty and I cant hardly keep anything down. So I said Mawmaw do you need some bottled water and some crackers? Something to settle your stomach? She said yes but I dont have any money right now but Ill pay you back in food stamps when they come in on my card....I told her Mawmaw you just tell me what you need and Ill get it for you. No worries. So off to the store I went and I came back and brought the goodies to her and you wouldve thought she won the lottery or something by the way she was so happy. She said Kelly, even though you and Jason arent married anymore, you still are my sweet granddaughter and I love you so much. I said Mawmaw I will always love you No matter what. I do love her very much and if she needs me she knows Ill help her as much as possible. Those goodies didnt cost me much and helping her out and her telling me how much she loves me is payment enough. Its the little things that you do for others that counts the most. Always show love, kindness, and compassion any chance you get because it changes people and their lives...even just a little bit matters.
