I went for a walk; the usual route that David and I took; at our usual pace, slow and relaxed. I repeated some parts of some of our conversations and I spoke both my words and also Davids words as if I was the two of us. Maybe you think this is crazy, maybe I just think this is crazy; however I also dont actually care if it is or it isnt because this is what I needed to do tonight. I wished, so badly I wished that David was beside me to carry his part of our conversation so I didnt have to have it all alone; and then, as I arrived back home at the end of our driveway a flurry of fireflies met me at the the edge of our lawn. Those fireflies danced all around in front of me and I asked out loud is that you David and those fireflies one at a time and then in bunches of three or four began to come closer and closer to me until they danced all around me and I stood in tears as my heart filled with love again as if I was looking at my beautiful boy the way I used to. And just like that they were gone.
