I went out to the two libraries - one to get Groundhog Day DVD and the other a book I had ordered. Then went to the grocery store to exchange some decaf tea for regular I had bought, then to two thrift shops nearby and lastly the pawn shop - had to give up on that one. I couldnt walk anymore. My ankles hurt so bad. Stopped in and gave Tasha Groundhog Day, which she had wanted, and which I have been scouring bins and thrift shops for - hard movie to find! Havent found a used copy anywhere, even in VHS. Tasha tells me Bill Murray is a cult thing now. I got to see Miles, her Golden Retriever, and all the cats, except Kitty who was outside, but I got a glimpse of her at least. Tasha had gotten some nice birthday gifts, including a large cash one from her dad, dwarfing my meager offerings. Oh well, I can only do what I can. She got a cool towel/robe/socks/blanket warmer. Its a bin, and you stick the towel in there and by the time your shower is done, your towel is piping hot - going to be really nice this winter, since their little old house gets really cold. I also saw Weezy the parrot, and the lovely box for Tarans ashes. I miss them all. So hard to return home to just one really cranky cat. I think he misses them too.
