I went out tonight, with Rick Duffy, Katrina Duffy, Steve (Katrinas Dad), and Gavin (Rick and Katrinas son), and handed out blankets and survival bags, to some of the homeless in Hemet. This was made possible by the gofundme/blankets2014 campaign. I thought originally, that it would be difficult to find homeless people in Hemet. How wrong I was. We cruised around for a couple hours and found more people, that are living on the streets in Hemet, than I could have ever imagined. Profound, doesnt begin to describe the experience. As I write this, Im back in my nice warm home, with a comfy bed, a full refrigerator, a closet full of clothes, a nice car, and a cat. In contrast though, I am immensely sad, for those that will sleep on the streets tonight, deeply thankful for what I have, and humble. I hope to be able to help more people in the future. Thank you to my friends that contributed to this cause, and helped make tonight possible. And, thank you Rick and Katrina, for what you do! My soul is a little warmer tonight.
