I went to Happo ridge to ascend Mt Karamatsu dake. My objective was to use snowshoe through all route. As I started climbing around 10:30 from the first cairn nearby Happo ikeyama hut, I did not have time to get the submit of Mt Karamatsu dake due to the limited time schedule of lift service( I had to get back to the lift by 16:10 to descend the car park on the bottom). In conclusion, I could ascend the point nearby Karamatsu dake peak hut using snowshoe. Before my way down I wondered I should change to my crampon and ice axe. But I continued to use poles and snowshoe until I got the first cairn. My impression on the whole was that it was technically feasible to keep using snowshoe and poles throughout this route. However, I wont use them in descending next time because I found two bit tricky points on the traverse along steep snow slope. Use of crampon and ice axe will bring you much secure sense in descending the route.
