I went to child support court today because I knew that I was suppose to....go there the lady asked me for my employment information...I did not know that I was suppose to bring it...she said that it was written in your subpoena papers...I was like what subpoena papers? I never got served! She took my word for what I make and started the process of payment modification. I spoke up and said....I dont even want to push child support...that stopped her....she was like what? I said I do not want to push this child support case. Things shifted gears..... She said let me look and see if the defendant owes the state anything (I have always refused to take even a dime from the government for child support) so the defendant did not owe the state anything.....he just owed me over $40,000. The lady said you dont want child support...I said no I do not want to push it. So I ended up signing a closure sheet....dismissing the state from the child support case. Before getting up I said the defendant has lost his drivers license because of child support....can you have them reinstated? She picked up her phone made a call.....and then said they should be active within 24-48 hours. Sometimes in life you just need to help others.....I know without a doubt that it will come back to me in a good way! Whats $40,000 anyway? Especially when you know you will never receive it ;-)
