I went to paint all day today, certain jobs in the studio remained long overdue, and could not be put off any longer.... I watched as I worked as the clouds looked so paintable..... Hah and they so were, yet all I could was look on. That said I finally got away around 1pm and did some sketching, then out on the marsh as the clouds built once again. I got set up behind the car with my kit and ploughed right in. I managed to get the structure in place and most of the sky set down. Then the rain started ever so slowly to begin and I thought heck it does not worry me.... i am painting with oils...... SO tell that to a deluge, that followed. As the photos show I threw my kit back into the car and very wet crawled back into the car to wait it out. I will finish this image back in the studio reluctantly.
