I went to see my flock of wild Canada Geese and wild Mallards - TopicsExpress

I went to see my flock of wild Canada Geese and wild Mallards recently. There were my sweet ducks, running to me and greeting me with gusto. I stroked their backs as I fed them and enjoyed their company. My Brave Boys ate from my hand - I have several ducks who do that and that is what I call them. I couldnt find my geese at first when I got there even though I thought we had checked all the places they would be. I was disappointed but, as we were driving away, I peeked through a section of field I hadnt seen and my goosedar went off and I yelled, There they are! Theres my flock!!! We quickly drove to them and there they were - it was getting late in the day for them and they were all facing one way and talking about leaving (I speak goose) so I hurried to get their corn ready and hobbled over as fast as I could to them and they saw me and came running, all thoughts of leaving forgotten. I was greeted by my extra special Murray, E387 and Brokebeak of course and all the rest gathered round. I finally had a video camera ready to record how I can pat and stroke them and scritch their necks. Ill be posting it when I figure out how to edit down to the good stuff but I am glad to finally get it on video so I can show the world my relationships to my beloved flock. They are still here, and I had mixed feelings because I love to see them but I start worrying that theyll forget to migrate again like last year. If they stay again - ok hello Tractor Supply I need a jillion pounds of corn please.....
