I went to the Doctors....no I did its true its not a doctor joke...and the one on duty has no sense of humour what so ever! I know I talk too much and Im too lively for him I can see in his face he thinks oh God no...well I dont go very often so I have my list and l like to ask as much as I can..so theres various questions reluctantly handled so being in my age group between 50 and death he takes my blood pressure...all is well, talks about cholesterol levels and asks if l would like a drink! l was surprised at the invitation from the dull boring old sod. l wanted to let him down gently so I said, Thats very kind of you but Its a bit early and I dont think it appropriate do you ,I smiled as warmly as l could. Then he immediately looked cross and said...Im not asking you if you would like to COME for a drink just if you like to have a drink, because cutting back on drinking is a big benefit to a woman of your age.!! ...I felt a right dick! so to save face I said ..I knew what you meant, I was joking...Id never entertain someone who was a charismatically challenged as you!.. I wouldnt even show you a fungal nail infection let alone anything else.. so I picked a blank perscription off his desk and wrote on it and handed it to him...it said Smile 25 times a day whether you need to or not...signed with a smiley face :-) !
