I went to the Kandiyohi County fair yesterday. After growing up in Jackson County and living in Spencer where the Greatest County fair is. The one in Willmar is a bit of let down. Had I grown up here, I may of thought different. Any way, Andy and I went to the demo derby, and that was a nice show. At the start of the demo, they had 3 vehicles come in. There was a black and pink van driven by a gal. The drivers got out of their rides, because this was to award a prize to the nicest paint job. Then this young man went up to this gal, he had the mike in his hand, and got down on one knee, held out a small box, and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and then we had a big crowd cheer. Then later in the derby, she even won her heat. Larry the cable guy would say "Only in America".
