I went to the Oncologist this morning and ended up talking to the DR. She was very sad to know it is taking so long. She said she contacted the surgeon yesterday and they discussed whats next. She said she keep up with all her patients records and even called surgeon last week, but as we all know he was on vaca. So the oncologist was able to get an appointment for another Biopsy for Friday this week. yeah. I went to the Pulmonologist and he was upset that no treatments had taken place with me yet. So I get to have fluid drained from my right lung next Wed. I do feel like things are taking the right steps now. Dr Lu (Oncologist) said she will stay on top of things and watch over the surgeons shoulder to make sure we a proceeding as it should be. I questioned the nothing showing in the biopsy, she explained that the cancer has been in me for close to a year and it gets old and dies. So the mass they took the specimens out of was dead cancer cells. So they need to find a spot that has live cells in it. Yes Barbara B. Baird, we WANT live cells so I can start Chemo to shrink the cancer. My chances of surviving this is much greater with Chemo than going to surgery right away. The surgery now is very evasive and it will be very hard on me!
