I will be Ministering Tonight! Im glad as i will be talking to some young minds this night on the topic Building Capacity and Harnessing Opportunities @ Cornerstone Church T/F. I can still remember one of the engineering courses i studied in my university days called Strength of material we were told in passing that an ultimate strength of a material is the maximum stress/loads it can withstand before it yield/breaks. When designing any engineering material that must be put into consideration. It applies to life in general. When u dont develop/build up capacity(i mean if dont prepare yourself/life ahead of time to withstand loads that life offers) you are bound to breakdown. I can also still remember before i travelled for this missionwork, i was functioning as a site engineer/manager for my friends building project located in abit swampy area. I have to instruct that the foundation and DPC level should be raised high enough above 6cs and thereafter chained together inorder to withstand any pressure water would offer it in the future. That building have the capacity to face any water flows in its direction. If Africa continent will be better tomorrow we must as a matter of fact and reality build capacity of our youths today. Youths should not be in hurry for future rather they should prepare for the future by building capacity today. Lets look at God, God never hurries, he takes his time in developing us for what he wants us to do in this life as well as eternity, he created the garden before creating man to keep. God chose David and had Samuel aniont him to be king; then for 13yrs God groomed him as he wandered about and hid in caves to escape capture and death, he spent time in the forest taking care of his fathers sheep, gaining alots of experiences even in the forest. I know he also learnt the 14 principles of management with God as his lecturer and available textbook. After God removed his opponents, one of the twelve tribes of Israel crowned David king, it still took more than 7yrs before the whole nation accepted him, as for Apostle Paul we read little about him for 14yrs after his conversion, then he was about 48yrs the holy spirit launched him into his lifes work. Jesus was on earth for years building capacity before he started his earthly ministry. Joseph went through hatred, salvary, temptation, accusation, imprisonment, being forgotten by his friend(ex-prisoner) while he remains in prison, those events builded his capacity and make him fit for prime minister job And when capacity is build over time ,lasting opportunity always come to someone who is strong to keep it. When opportunity come we have to harness and use it well to bless ourselves and humanity. God view of you reaches far beyond present appearances.God prefers quality rather than speed in developing his people. To build capacity for me: 1. Submit yourself to a lifestyle and lifetime of learning. 2. Subtract from your life and destiny any character that is anti-success to your physical, spiritual, emotional and material wellbeing. 3. Humble yourself before God and men to serve and end well in all your service. 4. Remain positive and patient in face of any challenges. 5. Keep hope and faith alive. Copywrite:Evang. Engr.
