I will dwell in the secret place of the most high and abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord my refuge and fortress my God in him I put my trust. He will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. He will cover me with his feathers, under his wings will I find trust and refuge his truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for, terror by night nor by day. I shall not be afraid of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at my side, ten thousand at my right, but it shall not come near me. I will be a spectator in the secret place of the most high as I witness the reward of the wicked. Because I made you my Lord and my refuge and the most high my dwelling place. No evil will befall me, nor does any plague or calamity come near my tent. He will provide angels to accompany defend and preserve me in all my ways. They shall hold me up in their hands. I will tread upon the lion and adder. The serpent will I trample underfoot.
