I will miss them: The police at the gates of Acacia Park Parliamentary Residences. Their rare professionalism, dedication and spirit of service. They saluted me each time, I cooked simple and sophisticated meals for them before leaving for Easter and Festive period each year. They highly appreciated this gesture that spun over 12 years without fail. They came to visit me in hospital often when they had time last year and this year. They told me they patrol more regularly around the area I lived in as they thought my kids might be vulnerable due to my long and frequent absence from home. The Acacia Park Public Works Public Servants. They always said they heard that I am viciously strict, but that they experienced me very differently when I go to them or phone them to report defects in the government house. They ALL called me uMama! So much love I received from them, I hope I gave them enough love back over 12 years. They came and went over time, but at all times all of them affectionately called me uMama. And last but NOT least, the Staff of Parliament and those in the Chief Whips Office, and those in Offices of Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Director Generals, what dedication they ALL had!!!. There too I was called uMum-Mentor, never ever Honorable Mentor, and this always gave me great pleasrure! BUT ALL OF THEM ALWAYS SAID I TOOK NO NONSENSE!, and maybe that was true, but loving they always found me, and they never failed to return my love. And I know that those who will join Parliament after elections will fall into very good and warm hands, both in Parliament, in the ANC Caucus, and in Acacia Park, as I cant vouch for the staff in other parliamentary villages. Good bye sons and daughters, I will remain in touch, And I will always, always love all of you. I wish you the very best in your carrers, and do me proud by continuing to upgrade yourselves knowledge and skills - wise. I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, and so do my kids too.
