I will not be participating in the KDP lending program on amazon. I spent all day yesterday reading about it. Authors, as well as publishers, get pennies per book. I already have really good prices on my books to fit any budget and I prefer to pay my bills, thanks, but no thanks. Being an author is a full time career for me and as evil as money can be, I cannot buy groceries and pay the rent with dust. If I have to expand to Nook and all other platforms to suplement amazons new freebie roll out then I will. ps, if you are in the select program with amazon you are exclusive to them, that means you CANNOT sell your book anywhere else and if they find out they kick you off the program. That means no smashwords, no nook, no kobo, no ibooks and you cannot even sell your books on your own website. Everyone will be making their own decisions in this and I am not saying amazons new roll out is the devil but for me it is not going to work. xoxo
