Now the below photograph is the result of 2.5 years of hard work; sweat; opportunities lost due to weather, scheduling and a COER vigil, networking, patience, practice, training, skill, being a philomath (Latin for lover of learning), many friends, an Island Transit fiscal crisis forcing the hands of a graceful few, sticking up for OLF Coupeville many times - sometimes under withering fire, going to the NAS Whidbey Island open house packing photo prints, and many restless nights in defense of OLF & waiting for this opportunity. Oh and the result is the last pass of the day today from two VAQ-139 crewdogs impressed with me. That said: I WILL promise each and every PNWAP member this: I will ask Liz if we can have a petition we can sign for when the US Navy reopens EIS scoping on OLF in a few months just for us photogs to sign & submit. Why? Id like Lyle the Legend, Iúile Kirch, Allen the Ace, James the Engineer, HFFs John Sessions, HFMs Greg Anders, Vanessa the Vital, Sandy the Marketer, Jeff Cook the HDR Artist, and a few other legends of & supporters of the aviation photography community to get this opportunity.
