REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: One (1) to two (2) years landscaping/groundskeeping experience. License and Certification: Current valid driverΓÇÖs license with a clean driving record. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma with additional six (6) month training specific to the horticulture or arborist field ( needed not essential ) Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years landscaping/groundskeeping experience. License and Certification: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, to communicate effectively in order to provide information and understand instruction. Knowledge of lawn care, shrubs, ornamental plantings and proper fertilizer use. Some mechanical ability specific to the operation and repair of small engines and power equipment. Basic computer knowledge in order to enter/retrieve data. Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately. PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING Work is performed in accordance with instructions and procedures, but incumbents must organize the work and set priorities. Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
