I will share the newspaper article when it shows up, but I have waited too long to brag on my son. Eli Elijah Lutz was selected as 1 of 2 delegates (out of 2,600) to represent the State of Ohio at the United States Senate Youth Program. In March, he will spend one very full week in Washington, DC meeting and mingling with Senators, Supreme Court Justices and the President. Tours of the White House, the Capital, the Supreme Court, Mt. Vernon are just some of the highlights of what all he will be doing. He will see a concert of the Symphony Orchestra at Kennedy Center. Lodging is at The Mayflower Hotel all week. Every expense including that lodging, all meals and round-trip air fare is paid by the Hearst Foundation. And as if that isnt a trip and experience of a lifetime, he will receive a $5,000 scholarship towards his undergraduate studies. He was selected as a finalist while at Boys State back in the summer and recently tested out for this selection. Needlesstosay, we are so very proud of him and share in his excitement for this achievement.
