I wish that there was someone in Hollywood bold enough to take on a major production geared towards a cast of characters created by none other than Jack King Kirby. Of course you know that Im leaning towards The New Gods and why not? When you go back deep into the original stories written, drawn, and edited by Kirby; you can tell then that his titles of Forever People, Mister Miracle, New Gods, and also Jimmy Olsen were EPIC and very soap-operatic in scale that you knew somewhere down the line something major would culminate into a huge storyarc. Unfortunately, back then DC never gave Kirby the free reign to do such a project that would encompass ALL the major characters of the DC universe. Yet nowadays for almost 30 years at DC, youve seen quite a bit of stories that involve characters from the worlds of New Genesis and Apokolips interact with DCs top tier of characters. I know some of you out there will be pessimistic in saying that its too big of a risk, that the characters arent well-known, or that Hollywood isnt visionary enough to do a TV series or major film based on The New Gods. Im envisioning so much potential exists within by giving the green light for this kind of project. Weigh-in on this people and let me hear your views?
