I woke up early this morning with a heavy heart which is not normal for me. Each night I go to sleep listening to the bible as it plays all through the night and this morning I woke up listening to the book of Acts. I asked Holy Spirit, Why do I feel this way? What is happening? I heard Him say, Unless you have something worth dying for, you really have nothing worth living for. I asked, What are you saying? I received no response right away...silence. Within several minutes my phone rings and its my mom. She proceeds to tell me that my dad, who was diagnosed with Alzheimers 12 years ago, has been throwing up all night and is running a fever which the doctor told her is the final stages before death. My dad has bounced back two times under similar situations and is currently in a nursing facility under 24 hr care. But today something seems different and so I ask Holy Spirit again, What are you saying? He then tells me, Your dad loves you and has loved you your entire life even if he didnt know how to show you his love. Now take that love and extend it to Everyone you come in contact with. Show them My love and let Me love through you! So today as I prepare to let my dad go, In the honor of my earthly dad and his love for me, and with the help of my Heavenly Papa, I do have something worth dying for...LOVE! And that my dear friends gives me something worth Living for...LOVE!
