I woke up to The Rifleman on TV. This episode featured Sammy Davis Jr. Its a 1960s black & white western show that teaches some morals. Im not saying racism is over, stereotypes will probably always exist, but Ive watched 10 minutes of a 50+ year old movie, and the writers back then were much better to Sammy than say Tyler Perry is to his actors. (Sammy Davis Jr although short, seems pretty handsome) When I try to watch a Tyler Perry movie I get nauseous. His movies depict black people as loud, violent, dysfunctional dolts. He dresses as a women and jokes about yelling, hitting, and attacking children; while also being overly verbal abusive to the other cast members. I have little, or no respect for Tyler Perrys movie. I actually think he does a disservice to his viewers by glorifying abusive relationships. #CSA21 #TylerPerry
