I wonder how many people get their news from blurbs on Facebook. There were 2 items on my news feed today that made me cringe. One was a post about a Harvard study shows Flouride lowers IQ in children which was put out by Dr. Mercola 3 years ago, and the study actually an analysis of 25 studies, 23 in China and 2 in India, of children in highly polluted areas who are exposed to mega doses (30x more than what is added to the 65% of US drinking water that has flouride added to it) of flouride, lead, mercury and tons of other pollutants and they have possibilities of statistically lower IQs than children not exposed to mega-doses of these pollutants. but the headline says Harvard Study Confirms Fluoride Reduces Childrens IQ. Second was an headline referencing an article about the Jack-booted thugs of the National Park Service saying that they were going to start charging up to $1500 for a person to take pictures in national parks. Holy Ansel Adams! Actually the story referenced was about raising the cost of permits for commercial film crews who make commercial movies like Johnny Depps Lone Ranger (not even applying to documentaries) or advertising companies that do photo shoots for commercials in park lands. The level of vitriol was was awesome, but obviously, no one who commented had read the article. Wouldnt it be best for humanity if people just take some time and a little care about forming opinions. Oh well https://youtube/watch?v=T69TOuqaqXI |
