I wonder what a psychiatrist would say if he/she were told, by you (or me, in this case) that, these days, I feel so socially detached from the world that, as people enter/exit a room Im in, Im ashamed to admit I no longer tend to really think about what kind of conversation I could have with them or what I could learn, or whether we might one day be life long offline friends, I just find myself instead first thinking, Is this person on my friendlist? Do they look like they might be on facebook? If I added them, unexpectedly, would they see me differently/negatively if they read my wall or saw a video or something? Would they accept then be one of *those* people who unexpectedly vanish from my list one day? Sad day when I think about life in facebook first and foremost.....
