I worked a couple of years with two guys that were doomsdayers.. every morning, I listened while they both talked what they were doing to prepare for either a total financial collapse or the total loss of electricity and electronics (a modern day version of the Solar Storm that happened in 1859 -- The Carrington Event)... they literally talked about these possibilities... and their preparations every morning.... day in and day out for almost 2 years... and they had a show and tell with what they were buying and how they were preparing... every morning.. I guess I thought of them both because there is a new movie called American Blackout that will broadcast on National Geographic Channel tomorrow (Oct 27)... it reminds me of a Weather Channel series from a few years ago called It Could Happen Tomorrow ... it was thought provoking and it did predict weather events that did come to pass... and it showed (to me) how the U.S. didnt prepare.. even though there was a series on the Weather Channel talking about what ifs... anyhow, if we did lose electricity and electronics for an extended period of time (i.e. 2 months or more).. Im inclined to think the grocery stores would be ransacked and total chaos would ensue.. but maybe I listened to the two guys from work a little too often... :) American Blackout youtube/watch?v=Vi_Rz9mCTjM
