I worked the polls yesterday, and its such a wonderful opportunity to help a little in my community and country. While at times boring, its a constant reminder that my husband gave a lot of his time to serve our country and had plenty of time to be bored. I thanked everyone that voted and I genuinely meant that thank you!! Ive heard a lot lately (also while growing up) to remember there are 2 things you shouldnt discuss. Religion and Politics. As a Christian, I thoroughly disagree!! If I truly love my Savior, why would I not want to discuss him with everyone. And unfortunately in our world today the two are intertwined! If I honor my Savior then I am going to use my right to vote and campaign for those who have the same morals! We live in a country today that is like it is because too many people are not standing up for Jesus Christ anymore!! If roles were reversed and someone told you not to discuss your spouse or child, could you truly keep quiet, of course not!! Your love is too deep. ~Matthew 10:32-33. Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
