I would add that on the seventh-day Sabbath, I rest: 1) not only in the finished work of our Creator; 2) and not only in the finished work of Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2) at the cross; Jesus also rested in the tomb on the seventh day (Luke 23:54-24:2); 3) but also in anticipation of the finished work of our resurrected and ascended heavenly High Priest, Jesus Christ, who has promised to finish the work He has begun (Philippians 1:6) of reproducing and revealing His character (or glory) in and through His people--Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The mystery of God will be finished (Revelation 10:7), and then the earth shall be lightened with His glory (Revelation 18:1). Many who had not previously known Him will respond to the love of God, and soon the end shall come.
