Here is Andrew Colquhouns email: There are still some tickets left for the charity gardening evening on Friday 6 December when Matthew Wilson, the well-known BBC gardener, will be giving a talk on behalf of the Dragonflies charity for local bereaved children. Matthew, who is a regular panellist on BBC Gardeners Question Time, will be talking to local gardeners about A Tale of Two Gardens, on the innovative work which he led at the RHS Gardens at Hyde Hall and Harlow Carr to bring them up to international standards. Matthew has appeared regularly in Gardeners World on BBC2 and had his own series on Channel 4 as the Landscape Man, reflecting his skills as a garden designer. He is the author of a number of gardening books and is now also managing director of Clifton Nurseries, one of the leading garden centres in London. Matthew has a particularly strong interest in environmentally sensitive gardening and wildlife. The talk, which is organised by Lower Torfield Allotments, will take place in the Stade Hall in Hastings Old Town at 7pm for 7.30. All proceeds will go to the Dragonflies charity.
