I would just like to point out that the republican governor of Kansas has had free rein to implement the republican ideal of economics (he has a republican majority congress backing him in all decisions). So Kansas, right now, is the perfect model of what would happen if the Republican Party had their way throughout the United States. He eliminated income taxes for small businesses and dramatically reduced income taxes for all larger companies. Trickle down economics at its finest. Result? The largest and fastest drop of financial support for all community entities. Schools are closing, people are moving out of small towns to the larger cities so their kids can go to school. Houses cant sell, so theyre being abandoned and foreclosed on. The businesses in those towns have lost their customers, so they are going bankrupt, resulting in ghost towns. The entire state has been thrown into a medium size recession, and their credit rating has been downgraded. Basically, the state is facing bankruptcy. And its only been two years since the taxes were cut for Kansas to spiral into this horrific state of affairs. Of the 105 counties in the state, only TWO vote democrat. ALL RED STATE. Their republican governor is up for reelection this November, and guess what? The polls show that the democrat opponent is leading by seven points. Governor: 40 percent. Opponent: 47 percent. The states citizens are willing to vote for the opposite party just to boot this governor. So much for the Republican Party ideals. Republicans, PLEASE pay attention to this state, and learn from it.
