I would like for my Christian friends to set aside a little time in your day to lift up this lady I met in Books-A-Million yesterday. I dont remember her name, but she is in cancer remission at the moment. After undergoing chemo and radiation she was given only a few months to live (this was back in October). She said her husband had built her a beautiful home once they found out she had cancer, but she explained how she felt like a caged bird. The doctors turned her away because of her outward appearance looks as though she is a drug junkie (this was in her words). She said that she will no longer continue to be isolated from her family and friends, and that as long as the Lord is giving her energy to move around she will continue to be mobile. And she understands clearly that when the Lord calls her home, she will go with no hesitation. Her motivation is her grandbabies. She says she will start attending their cheerleading games etc...because they miss having Nana around. She told me if you are ever faced with any circumstances and you have to chance to fight on...FIGHT ON and NEVER GIVE UP. The Lord is on your side.
