Well Ive finished reading The Hobbit and all 3 Lord of the Rings books consecutively. Slogging through Middle Earth with hobbits, wizards, dwarves, and elves. But I admit my views on Tolkien has changed since my first reading of his books. Hes VERY long-worded, his characters break into song or poem every other page (which got old), and it did get tiresome that EVERY SINGLE ITEM in Middle Earth had a symbolic name. I swear every blade of grass had a name, and a page was spent expounding the tale on how it became to be so.
