I would like to apologize in advance for how incredibly long this - TopicsExpress

I would like to apologize in advance for how incredibly long this post is going to be. None of our pets are lost but I do have a question. Do any of you have a pet sitter to recommend that comes to pets homes instead of the pets staying with them? Plenty of EXTREMELY good references is a must. Our animals are very special to us & one is very unique & important situation. We need someone who is available next weekend, July 18-20. We have 4 animals at the moment, but only 3 are truly ours. Im a vet student & I very often take in special case animals that need extra help from humane societies or special situations. Im currently rehabilitating a 8 week old German shepherd puppy who was born semi paralyzed in his hind legs. I received him when he was 3 wks & at that time he couldnt stand, walk, or even move his back legs or tail at all. After tons & tons of physical therapy & water exercises, I am proud to say he now not only walks but can sort of run too, although its still a bit wobbly. He gets stronger & stronger each day!! When he cant be constantly watched he stays in a baby pack n play but I am looking for someone to take up time with him so that he can be out to continue building his muscles & walk around some each day. He loves attention & I honestly might want someone that will take him to your home just so he isnt alone too much. Our other 3 will be fine with us being gone but Tibbers is so used to being around people I feel bad leaving him. Our 3 permanent pets are Maximus the 3 yr old NEUTERED pitbull, Tyson the 2 yr old beagle/chihuahua mix, & Precious the cat. I emphasize Maximus being neutered b/c due to his breed I am very weary of the psychos out there who want to fight his precious breed & highly dislike those who ask to stud him out. This dog is very kind & loving to not just people but to all of the animals I bring in as fosters as well. The 2nd picture collage Im posting is to show just how nice he is to other animals. He wouldnt hurt a fly & I am very protective of him. All of our animals are microchipped and we have video surveillance in our home. Seeing all of the post about pits & boxers being stolen scares me more than you could imagine and quite frankly I didnt want to post on here to have a stranger watch them for that very reason. Normally friends keep them when we go out of town but no ones available as of yet. Maximus is also allergic to grass so whoever watches them please please please do not leave him out in the yard all day. I only let him go out for 10-15 min intervals. He doesnt break out everytime but if he does he has medicines to take. Tyson is a special case as well due to him being bottle fed by us since he was 4 days old. The humane society had a litter of puppies that the mom couldnt care for so we took him & a brother in as a foster 2 years ago. We became attached to him so he ended up staying with us instead of being adopted out like his brother was. Precious is apparently an escape artist when we arent home. Shes never even tried getting out when we are here but when we returned home from a 2 day getaway a couple of months ago she was no where to be found. The person we had watching our animals DIDNT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS GONE. She just assumed the cat was hiding in the house. Precious is a very unique cat in the fact that she loves attention & always greets you at the door when you walk in. If she doesnt greet you, something is probably wrong. So we want someone who is ATTENTIVE AND RESPONSIBLE. If you do not see her while you are here I want a phone call. So with all of that being said, does anyone want the job or have anyone in mind? Sorry I sound like a crazy person but theyre all very important to me. Our 3 permanent animals really dont require much. Just feed them 2x a day and let the dogs out into our fenced in backyard.
