I would like to ask European policy makers: What is, according to - TopicsExpress

I would like to ask European policy makers: What is, according to you, the difference between Europeans who join jihadists in Syria, and Europeans who join the Israeli army in Palestine and Israel? My take on this: Europeans joining the Israeli army also take part in cruelties and war crimes and crimes against the Geneva Conventions, as established by many UN research panels and UN institutions. Moreover, protecting colonization is also a warcrime according to the Geneva Conventions. The EU has recognized since many years that Israel is colonizing Palestine. And the international legal framework is clear in this: all state parties to the Geneva Conventions have an obligation to uphold these conventions. Then why is it not considered problematic and criminal that European citizens join the Israeli army to colonize and commit war crimes? Why are they, upon their eventual return to Europe, not prosecuted for joining an organization that commits war crimes? It is not a cynical question. I am seriously interested in the response. And Im seriously interested in hearing from anyone with legal expertise about the possibilities of prosecuting these European citizens who join the Israeli army.
