I would like to know if a single penny of tax payer money (via district paid resources or use of resources) went to make this video. While I support the recommended budget and I support getting children aware of politics and budgets, this campaign isnt sitting well with me. There are clearly people who really want/need to cut the tax rate so propose for other towns to pick up more, then you have people who want to close schools, or cut the budget but letting go of 39 teachers. Yet if you bring up cutting or trimming anything or question the costs of the music program or busing you are viewed negatively as a Green supporter or that you want to hurt the children or get banned from this non-district site. This does not foster communication, collaboration and finding balance. What are we really teaching our children by behaving this way?
