I would like to make a formal announcement. There was an error and the wrong individually was crowned 2014 Miss Centerville. As a pageant director I check over the sheets after the pageant. When I found the error I notified both families involved we needed to have a meeting. At this meeting I allowed the two young ladies involved come to a decision. They decided that they would both like titles. After much thought I decided to give the wrongfully crowned young lady the title of Miss Strawberry. I try to run a fun, fair, & honest pageant. This is not Miss America and it needs to be laid back to allow the young ladies a fabulous experience. After much disrespect from Mrs. Mattocks, she is not allowing her daughter to have the title of Miss Strawberry. I have been informed she is planning on contacting media outlets about my decision to fix the error. She also is refusing to return the crown and trophy. I ask you all to respect my decision to correct the errors. Everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them.
