I would like to share a story of my Indonesian friend Yugo with you in the hope that some of you would be willing to contribute to easing his and his family´s burden... After losing his first child at birth due to an inadequate treatment by doctors, Yugo and his wife had to face another tragedy at the day when Indonesian muslims celebrate the most important day in the course of the year - Idul Fitri marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Wildan, their son born just a couple of months before Idul Fitri, died during a second operation in a row that was supposed to help him get rid of hydrocephalus. After birth Wildan already underwent a very expensive treatment in hospital. Both surgeries costed in total 70 milion Indonesian Rupiahs (around USD 8 450). There is no obligatory health insurance in Indonesia and for many people commercial insurance is a luxury they cannot afford. The young man Yugo and his family are not able to pay so much money so they have asked their friends to help them out of this difficult situation. Family and friends have already contributed some money but there are still 55 milion Rupiahs (around USD 6 640) to be paid for te medical treatment Wildan received. Yugo set a following FB page in Indonesian asking for donations: https://facebook/groups/437158219730656/?ref=ts&fref=ts. There is an Indonesian account number where one can send contributions. However, if you would like to help but are located outside of Indonesia, you can contact my friend Katka (I will provide you with her email if you want to contribute some money to Yugo and his family) who can arrange for the transfer of money to Yugo and his family from abroad. Yugo would be more than grateful even for a small amount of money. Thank you!
