I would like to share an excerpt from my book Lost City Of Steam..... Please Enjoy! R.L. Edinger Kaitlyn knelt beside the unconscious brute. She removed his German-style helmet. His head was completely covered with a leather mask. A mesh screen was where his mouth would be. On the back of the mask was a black iron canister. Where his eyes should be were instead thick black leather goggles. He wore a heavy black military trench coat and knee high brown leather boots. Black iron studs completely covered the back of the leather gloves on his hands. An ammunition belt with a side holster was strapped around his waist. Kaitlyn had never seen anything like him ever before. He was a strange looking man or creature. Kaitlyn stood up and walked over to her bag. She opened it and took out her cell phone. Kaitlyn walked back to the brute and took several pictures. She was more convinced than ever that her sister Leara was somewhere on the estate. Kaitlyn was also convinced she was ill-equipped to search further for her sister. There were very likely more of these uniformed brutes which would make things too dangerous. Kaitlyn returned to her messenger bag and put the phone back inside. She fixed the strap as best she could and then walked over to the iron gates. Kaitlyn climbed to freedom on the other side. She hoped that the photos she took of the man would finally convince the authorities to investigate. It was a long walk back to Dublin and Kaitlyn dreaded it very much. Kaitlyn sighed heavily and finally decided to just crack on and get it over with. She took the first step on her long trek back to Dublin.
