I would like to share my comment given as follows on the item at: https://en-maktoob.news.yahoo/car-bombs-explode-outside-nigeria-mosque-143046623.html Such barbaric acts are, unfortunately, committed under the guise of Islam to discredit the lofty Quran. So, it is high time that the Muftis and Ulamas of the whole Islamic world put aside the mundane selfishness and egotism of theirs, and for the sake of God only, un-hypocritically ENGAGE COLLECTIVELY to do their duties in this regard as instructed in the Holy Quran. Neglecting THIS KEY TASK is the greatest injustice and sin committed by those who are followed by the great Ummeh of Muslims. Let me quote part of the fourth khalif, Imam Ali’s (SA) saying from Nahj a Balaghah: و لکنّا انّما اصبحنا نقاتل اخواننا فی الاسلام علی ما دخل فیه من الزیغ والاعوجاج والشبهة والتاویل. فاذا طمعنا فی خصلة یلمّ الله بها شعثنا و نتدانی بها الی البقیة فیما بیننا، رغبنا فیها، و امسکنا عما سواه. “We now had to fight our brethren in Islam because of entry into Islam of misguidance, crookedness, doubts and (wrong) interpretation. However, if we find any way by which Allah may collect us together in our disorder and by which we come near each other in whatever common remains between us, we would accept it and give up everything else.” (From Sermon 122) In other words, to permanently eradicate the root cause for so many lay Muslims being provoked to kill others under the name of Islamic jihad, whatever said and done, and for how long it may go on, they are NOT the (so many) secular KINGS AND PRESIDENTS, but the (few) truly God-fearing selfless Muftis and Ulamas who should form a coalition (with the holy Quran as the frame of reference) to root out the utterly ignorant and foolish assumptions of the LAY Sunnis or Shias that God’s heaven is exclusively for some particular group of the Sunnis or Shias; and to get to THAT heaven, they should, by the name of the Quranic jihad, kill the others. These foolish and ignorant assumptions rooted out by the coalition of the Muftis and Ulamas, those lay Muslims will have no excuse to be fooled to kill others so cruelly under the guise of Islam; the world will get rid of the barbaric phobia created by the provoked ignorant Islamists/jihadists, and will appreciate the rational all-inclusive merciful guidance and rules of the holy Quran that so clearly expresses the lofty universal goal of its revelation to the prophet: و ما ارسلناک الا رحمة للعالمین “And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds!” Verse 107 of chapter 21
