I would like to share one of my many hospital adeventures: Every day they take röntgenphotos to see how my lungs are developing and holding up. But since I cant move from the bed because Im attached to the breathing machine, the röntgen ladies have to come to me. Now these ladies are not normal sisters and apparently did not get any training in sympathising or empathy for the patients. So they literally see you as a piece of ham that needs to be photographed. Needless to say that I didnt even get the time to do my hair for the picture. Know this: Every movement I make hurts like crazy because of these tubes that are sticking through my ribs into my lungs. Yes ja Hallo we come to make röntgenphotos now. Ok hello. Thats great. Shall I .. Ja bed down now! And whoop the bed goes down and I fall backwards with my legs in the air squeeking in agony coz of the pain. Please be careful, it hurts She didnt seem to care or hear me and pulled me back up because the negative for the picture needed to be placed underneath me. I tried to grab the handle above my bed so I could softly lower myself again, but the evil hog was faster than me and pushed straight back on the plate. Yes ja plate can be little bit cold she said. But by that time I was already on it and the temperature of the plate was the last thing that bothered me so I said thanks for the warning but I already noticed it 5 minutes ago. Again I was subtlely ignored. Picture done, get up, me take plate and whoops before I knew it I was with my nose on the feet end of the bed and my feet stuck in the handle above the bed as she took the plate/negative of the röntgen. doctor will come later and tell you what is result Thank you i said in a silent little voice trying to unfold myself and get comfortable and ask the sweet sister for a triple dosis of painkillers...
