I would like to share with all of you this prayer written as a song that I ran across today. Feel free to repost if you are going or have gone through a difficult time with a broken relationship or a friendship like I have. You may substitute a name in place of friend if you choose to do so. Prayer for a Friend Lord, I lift my friend to You. Ive done all that I know to do. I lift my friend to You. Complicated circumstances have clouded his/her view. Lord, I lift my friend up to You. I fear that I wont have the words that he/she needs to hear. I pray for Your wisdom, Oh God, and a heart thats sincere. Lord, I lift my friend up to You. Lord, I lift my friend to You. My best friend in the world. I know he/she means much more to You. I want so much to help him/her, but this is something he/she has to do. And Lord, I lift my friend up to You, cause theres a way that seems so right to him/her. But You know where that leads. Hes becoming a puppet of the world, too blind to see the strings. Lord, I lift my friend up to You, my friend up to You. Lord, I lift my friend to You. Ive done all that I know to do. I lift my friend to You. Amen and Amen. I hope this will help those of you who struggle and continue to struggle with broken relationships. May Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you! He is the only One who will sustain and keep you in perfect peace throughout your life. God bless, my dear friends!
