I would like to take a moment to address an incident that happened - TopicsExpress

I would like to take a moment to address an incident that happened with an image of mine, that I posted a couple of days ago. Apparently, someone felt it necessary to report it to Facebook for being inappropriate...violating their standards against nudity. As it turned out, Facebook found in my favor...the image was not deemed offensive, and I have been allowed to repost it. Heres the thing...art is very subjective. Not everyone is going to agree with what is considered beautiful, or tasteful...I get that. Artists are compelled to create...its in our souls. Others are compelled to critique...positively or otherwise, its just their nature. Its not easy...putting yourself out their for others to judge. Models that stand in front of a camera are especially vulnerable. Most often, they give away all rights to the images...leaving the end product completely in the hands of the photographer. The only way a model has even a hint of what could possibly come from a photoshoot...is the photographers portfolio. I am humbled, honored, and grateful...for all the models that have entrusted me to witness a very special part of themselves. A shared moment that is captured, interpreted, and displayed...for all the world to see. Its a responsibility that I dont take lightly. Its for them...that I will proudly repost.
