I would like to take this opportunity to thank George Couchman and all the guys who purchased the 59 Sqn limited edition port a short while ago. George has very generously chosen The Re-Org Trust as the beneficiary of the funds raised by the sale of the port. A bank transfer of £600 was made at the weekend to the business account. We spoke about how the money could be used to support veterans and between us we have decided to take on a project to refurbish and carry out much needed maintenance on an Ex REs house and garden. The veteran spends all his waking hours caring for his wife who was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumour in March and is now profoundly ill. The illness is terminal. While she can still enjoy restoring the garden and outdoor area back to its natural beauty we want to do that for her. It also allows a brief period of respite for her husband. We plan to visit and stay at the house between 14-18 Nov and carry out the work. The Re-Org Trust and the money raised by George and the men of 59 will fund the project. If anybody has the skills to work outside on soft and hard landscaping and minor general maintenance please get in touch. The veteran is a huge road riding fan. If there are any velo riders out there who want to tear up a few hundred kilometres of tarmac let us know. REgards Tommy Trindall.
