I would like to thank William for making a status regarding this topic. I met a so called Black Hebrew Israelite recently who tried to deny the Transatlantic Slave Trade as a real life occuring event. Instead he insisted his ancestors fled from Jerusalem to America during biblical times. The scary part is that hes not the only one; there are thousands that support this belief. The denial of ones own history and heritage is a severe symptom of self-hate with strong remnants of unconscious dominion and post-traumatic slave syndrome. Who taught you Africa wasnt good enough? Who taught you to believe youre something youre not? Who taught you to abandon your ancestry and adopt a fictional one? Kenyans, Zimbabweans, Papua, Solomon Islanders, Fijians, African Americans; the Black Hebrew movement is coming your way; do NOT fall for their biblical delusion. You did NOT descend from Hebrews, you are of African descent. You wanna be a Christian? Be a Christian. Wanna be a Muslim? Be a Muslim. Wanna be a Jew? Be a Jew. But do NOT jump on the Black Hebrew Israelite band wagon and deny your own ancestry; you will never truly find yourself and youll become more far from the ancestors than ever. If youre unsure about your roots, look into archaeology, linguistics, DNA testing, oral tradition or written history. Do NOT depend on biblical history to find your roots! If you already consider yourself a Black Hebrew Israelite, keep your belief to yourself. If you want to help the community, teach about Africa and its incredible history and countless contributions to humanity; STOP denying people of their heritage with your poisonous fairytales.
