I would like to thank my friends who let me text them endlessly today in support of the BellLetsTalk campaign. I broke my silence after 18 years and decided to no longer be held hostage by my illnesses. My name is Brandy Carriere and I have a chemical imbalance in my brain. I have Generalized Anxiety and Panic Disorder and characteristics of PTSD. But it does not change the fact that I am a darn good single mother and a productive citizen. I am a daughter, a sister and a friend. When I felt knocked down over and over again, I fought my hardest to get back up and keep fighting. My name is Brandy Carriere and I am a survivor.
