I would like to write some thing about the history of civil wars in Afghanistan which has been raging for almost 20 years and devastated the country and destroyed many thousands of lives so far with no end in sight . The people who are responsible are still holding the seats power in the governments in Afghanistan and they are very economical with truth to tell the people what happened in the country and wish to keep it out of sight and out of mind . I happen to know the truth and about what happened in Afghanistan in the last 25 years and wish to put the truth in public domain for people to understand and I know that some people may not like hear it because of their involvement in the bloody civil war and the shameful period of history of Afghanistan in the recent years . What happened in Afghanistan in the past 25 years is truly shameful and black chapter in Afghan history and those who have committed such crimes must be blacklisted so that the future generations of Afghans should know them and make their own judgments for the destruction of the country and the massacre of so many people in the country . The actual crisis in Afghanistan started in 1992 immediately after the war of liberation against the Russian occupation which was like “ out of frying pan in to a fire.“ The majority of people in Afghanistan do remember the cruelty and atrocities by their leaders and the warlords and fully aware of what happened to them , their families and their country in the period of the bloody civil war by the warlords and their supporters from out side . However the people are not willing to speak out and talk about it publicly even now in order to avoid punishment from the powerful warlords in their homes and villages without mercy . When the Russian left Afghanistan and the mujahideen leaders with their Arab fighters returned to Kabul in 1992 and took over the seats of powers from the ousted leader Dr . Najibullah the hell broke out and power struggle started among the leaders immediately within 24 hours and the capital city of KABUL turned to blood bath and destroyed by rocket attacks and air bombardments for moths which killed more than 65000 people in Kabul without mercy and the people did not have the opportunity to do the funeral and decent burials of their loved one in accordance with the Islamic traditions . The aftermath of the civil war still continuing in Afghanistan and haunting those who shed more bloods in their towns and villages around the country . The hatred and animosities are still going on unabated in many parts of Afghanistan and the insurgency are to be blamed for it . The leaders of mujahideen could have avoided the civil war and saved the country from total disaster and devastation and the tragedy of loss of lives of tens of thousands of people and if they had acted wisely as true Afghans at the beginning by telling people in Afghanistan that the war is over and now is the time for peace and happiness and rejoicing the victory and celebrating the success for the liberation of beloved homeland from the Soviet occupation , that would have been very much appreciated by every single person in the country and the people would have built the statues of these leaders as the national heroes but unfortunately this did not happen and the meaning of jihad was lost and some leaders were more interested in creating racial violence and pursuing the policy ethnic cleansing and racial harassment in the country and those who were the architect of the civil war have gone either died or runaway from the country and living as fugitive in foreign land .
