I write this out of disgust. I represent a wide section of artists living in third world nations.I live in India.It just so happens to be a place to get good quality cheap labor. My experience with a certain studio so far has been this. I worked there around two months and due to my inexperience was offered a sum of Rs 7000 a month ..that works out to roughly $120 for an entire month of work. I worked there an average of 10 hours a day.When payday came and i checked my account I found that I had only been paid Rs. 6000 roughly around $104 for 50 days of work. Needless to say I was extremely upset and shocked at this . Firstly, I have to endure such an insulting pay.I had to , on top of that listen to the managers sit there and defend why they had paid me such a trifling amount which included reasons such as I had to work 10 days free ,Sundays arent paid for etc. I promptly left the place with no notice given.It hurts some when I think that Americans exploit us in such a way but it hurts even more so when Indians are willing to exploit other Indians to please our overlords. I really feel everyone should stand up for us little guys struggling in these sweat shops so that we too can live life with some dignity. :feels bad:
